Rent As Buddy ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our") is operated by ARR RENTASBUDDY NOVA PRIVATE LIMITED, a company incorporated in India with its registered office in Samastipur, Bihar. By accessing or using the Platform (the website rentasbuddy.com and any mobile version) or registering an account, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update these Terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
You must be at least 18 years old and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. You represent that you are not barred from receiving services under Indian law, are not a registered sex offender, and have not been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude or violence. We may refuse, suspend or terminate accounts that misrepresent age or identity, or that were previously removed.
Rent As Buddy is solely a platform for platonic, non-sexual, non-romantic, non-physical companionship for lawful activities in public places. It is not a dating, matchmaking, marriage, escort or adult-services platform. The Service must never be used to solicit or arrange sexual, romantic or physical contact, or anything that violates applicable law or these Terms. If anyone solicits you in violation of this clause or makes you uncomfortable, report or block them and contact us immediately.
The Platform connects Clients (who book companionship) with verified Buddies (who offer their time). We are an intermediary that facilitates discovery, booking, payment and communication; we are not a party to the arrangement between a Client and a Buddy and do not employ Buddies. You are responsible for your own conduct and decisions, and for meeting only in public places.
Buddies set an hourly rate and/or fixed-price packages. Clients pay the full booking amount upfront, per booking (there is no recurring subscription) through our payment gateway (Razorpay). The Platform retains a service commission of 40% and the Buddy earns the remaining 60% ("Buddy Earnings"). Buddy Earnings are tracked on the Platform and paid out to the Buddy's registered bank/UPI account (currently settled manually). You are responsible for your own taxes. All payments must occur on the Platform; arranging payment off-platform is prohibited, unprotected, and grounds for removal.
A Buddy may accept or decline a request. For a confirmed booking, cancellations made more than 24 hours before the start time are eligible for a full refund; within 24 hours a partial fee may apply to compensate the Buddy for reserved time. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within standard gateway timelines.
Buddies must complete identity (KYC) verification (via our verification partner) before they can be booked. A verified badge means identity was checked; it is not a guarantee of conduct. Every booking requires confirming a public meeting place. You can report or block any user, add an emergency contact, and share a booking link with someone you trust. We review reports and may act at our discretion.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. Provide accurate information and keep it current.
You retain ownership of content you upload (e.g. profile photos, reviews). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and use that content solely to operate, promote and improve the Service. The Rent As Buddy name, logo, design and software are our property and may not be copied or reused without permission. To report content that infringes your rights under the Copyright Act, 1957 / Information Technology Act, 2000, email grievance@rentasbuddy.com.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, online or offline, or for disputes between users. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the commission we actually earned on the relevant booking. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the Service or breach of these Terms.
You may close your account at any time by emailing support@rentasbuddy.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the law, with or without notice. Clauses that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to arbitration below, the courts at Samastipur, Bihar have exclusive jurisdiction. Disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably; failing which they shall be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the seat and venue at Samastipur, Bihar and proceedings in English.
